On June 21st, the Friends of Jennie Drake Park held their monthly work session ending with the ground breaking for the new entrance to Jennie Drake Park.
Volunteers from Tokio Marine Management, along with Park Pride, mulched paths and installed two benches donated by Lifecycle Building Center. The volunteers also joined in the ground breaking festivities.
City Council Member Mary Norwood attended the event and stated: “This is a beautiful piece of property. There is precious little Public green space in the City. You are so far thinking to plan for this, and to have this in perpetuity, as a wonderful amenity to your community and the City of Atlanta. I want to commend you for all your hard work.”
